A 26-year-old Corinth man has been charged with four felony counts of auto burglary, police said.

Joshua Tays of County Road 793 was arrested Jan. 9 after someone saw him allegedly breaking into a vehicle on Lake Terrace Drive, said Corinth Police Detective Capt. Dell Green.

The person who witnessed Tays allegedly breaking into the vehicle called 911 and followed Tays in a vehicle, Green said.

Police were informed of Tays’ location, and he was pulled over on Purdy School Road, Green added.

Items that were taken from the vehicle on Lake Terrace Drive and from vehicles in the Buchanan Street area were recovered, said Green.

The burglaries involved unlocked vehicles.

Corinth Police Detective Jerry Rogers oversaw the investigation.
