Corinth Mayor, Police Chief to Seek Re-Election This Year

The city of Corinth will have an election this year.

The positions of mayor, police chief and six aldermen will be on the ballot.

All of the terms are four years.

Candidates can begin qualifying April 30, and the deadline is July 9, said City Clerk Vickie Roach.

The city primary election will be Sept. 11, and the general election will be Oct. 9.

Those who are elected will take office Nov. 5.

Mayor Tommy Irwin is currently in his second term and said he will seek re-election.

Police Chief Ralph Dance is currently in his first term and said he will also seek re-election.

Aldermen Mike Hopkins and Chip Wood are currently in their third terms while Aldermen Andrew Labas, Ben Albarracin, Michael McFall and J.C. Hill are currently in their second terms.
