Corinth Man Charged With Meth Possession

A 48-year-old Corinth man was arrested on a felony drug charge Thursday, according to the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office.

Scotty Lane McDowell, 9 County Road 127, was allegedly in possession of 1.2 grams of methamphetamine when authorities entered a residence at 212 County Road 335, Corinth, to execute an arrest warrant on him, a sheriff’s office news release said.

Alcorn County Deputy Lucas Wooten assisted Farmington Police Department officers in the execution of the warrant.

McDowell was transported to the Alcorn County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine. He remained in jail early Friday afternoon on a $5,000 bond.
